On 15th October 2014, participants of the GÉANT Pilot project met at The University of Warwick for a focused workshop on the Trust Router. The slides from this workshop can be found under the GÉANT Pilot Meetings page.
The outcome of the workshop was the successful establishment of a Trust Router network, in which the participants implemented Trust Routers hosted at their home organisations and established connections between these and the already-implemented Janet Trust Router. This marks a significant milestone in the Project, enabling IdPs to communicate securely with RPs within this pan-European Trust Router network.
As the technology becomes more ubiquitous, the intention is that the Trust Router network will grow; enabling swift and secure communication across multiple countries, with the efficiency-benefit of single sign-on capability.
